Meet Dr. Brown

Laurie Brown, DMD, MS

My goal is to provide my patients with the highest quality care in the most comforting manner possible. To me, each patient is an individual with specific needs. There is no single procedure that works for each person because of its own merit and it would be a disservice to you if I treated you with such a mindset. I take time to learn about each patient so that I can individualize your treatment to best manage your needs. I believe that my work can be life changing if done well, and I always mean to do my work well.

Education

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania where I graduated magna cum laude. Next, I went to Tufts University School of Dental Science for my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. I maintained my academic excellence, graduating summa cum laude. I completed my postgraduate work in pediatric dentistry, earning my Master of Science degree from the Ohio State University. I have been a member of the team at Pediatric Dental Associates for 12 years.

Continuing Education

I take numerous courses yearly to stay up-to-date with advances in dentistry. I focus on restorative, preventive, and pediatric dentistry. I am very interested in evidence-based research, because it's important to me that whatever treatments I offer be proven to stand up to my high standards. I have found continuing education to be absolutely necessary in providing you with the highest quality dentistry available, which is the only kind I want to provide.

Professional Affiliations

Professional collaboration is also very important to stay current with the newest developments and skills available to the dental profession. I am directly involved with numerous professional organizations to share and continually modify the range of my skills as a dentist. This includes:

  • American Board of Pediatric Dentistry-Diplomate
  • American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
  • American Dental Association
  • Massachusetts Dental Society
